most boring fishing game May 22, 2010 Bracey Lemons (Murrieta, CA USA) i have Bass Pro Shops: The Strike Bundle with Fishing Rod, which i thought was pretty good but wanted a game where you move the nunchuck like the reel, i just like it better that way.
I figured I'd give this a shot instead. that minor detail is not enough reason to make me like this game. you can't move from one spot, you stand still and aim where to cast, there is no underwater view. the actual fishing aspect of this game is terrible.
The only redeeming factor is the lounge in the career mode, you get to keep fish you catch in an aquarium and learn about what lures to use. but call me old fashion, i got a fishing gameFOR THE FISHING. which could not have been more boring.
still on a quest to find the perfect (or as close to it as possible) fishing game for the wii
Most Realistic Fishing Game Available for Wii April 7, 2010 Mony Ouk By far- this is the most realistic fishing game on the wii. There are many different lures/hooks/baits and rods. An excellent array of fish each distinct to their enviornments. Just as a foot note- *THIS IS NOT THE WIIWARE VERSION OF THE GAME*. Each location is beautifully drawn and the fish are also like so. Casting is easy when you get the hang of it. What made me give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars though is the fact that you are locked onto a specific spot at a location - no exploration. Also, the water has a weird constant refresh rate. Besides this, at its $19.99 price, this is a definite buy for fishing lovers.
A+ GREAT ONE March 26, 2010 Dennis Hepworth (Elizabethville PA USA) THIS GAME IS THE BEST FISHING GAME OUT THERE NOW.A+ FROM ME AND IM NOT A FISHERMEN.DIFFERENT LEVELS AND GREAT FISH TO FIND.

You must play this game! I highly recommend it to everyone including people who hate or dislike fishing games. This is a highly realistic, fun, challenging and entertaining game! You'll feel like you are really right there fishing! This is the best game in the Reel Fishing Series. If you try it, you will love it!
Extremely ENTERTAINING February 15, 2010 dono56 (Charlotte,NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have rated this 5 STARS FOR FUN but it is showing up.
Its true this game was frustrating at first until I learned the things that were going wrong (with the exception of it freezing up one time) stopped happening as I moved through the different fishing locations. I have now made it to the end and have found all the legendary fish I have completed all goals. After I really started to learn this game it became fun and addicting. I found out if you use different poles (as you earn them) the fish act differently when reeling them in. The casting can still be a little frustrating it seems it isn't consistent you can do the same thing twice and get different results. I was having problems with the line drawing back in some instances before a fish had bitten because I had the bait on the bottom and when I moved the lure up everything seemed to work as it should. This is more like a true experience once you learn the fish and how to fight them. Yes I agree with another reviewer the landing can be a little anticlimactic but the fight with the fish is fun and all are different. I wish they had made more room in the aquariums I had to let one legendary fish go to house another. I found information in the booklet that came with it very helpful when I was stuck.
If you are one of the people who also found this frustrating at first I would encourage you to try again it can be very fun. If you have problems I would say to you to email the manufacturer and maybe they can get some of the problems resolved for you. I have tried 4 different fishing games on the wii without a doubt this is the most fun of all I rate it number 1 for the wii.
