Product Description This kit includes:
- Skinomi film - Installation Squeegee - Bottle of Application Solution - Installation Instructions - Lifetime Replacements Program
Skinomi TechSkin goes beyond traditional screen protectors, skins, covers, and cases. This cell phone protector is made from clear thermoplastic urethane film - the same film used to protect military aircrafts and NASA space shuttles. It has the ability to resist high levels of abrasion, making it the ultimate protector for gadgets and devices. The film "scratch-proofs" your device without adding bulk like traditional cases. Skinomi TechSkin is designed to provide lifetime protection for your device. If the film ever wears or scratches, Skinomi will replace it for free, for as long as you need it for your device. If you ever need to remove the TechSkin, it peels off easily leaving no residues unlike other screen protectors or skins.

As advertised. September 6, 2010 DiamondDave I have been very satisfied with this protector. It's much better than cheaper, temporary screen guards I've used in the past. It wasn't too difficult to apply, just be patient and follow the directions. I occasionally have the phone in a case, and it still fits perfectly even with the 'full-body' protective coating installed.
good not great September 2, 2010 penguinpower81 I had a 3gs before I got my iPhone 4 and it was scratched up pretty bad as I did not use a screen protector on it. So when I got my 4 I decided to get some protection. It installed easily more or less, just take your time and you should have no problems. I do notice that it isn't as smooth as the glass alone, a lil softer to the touch and not as easy to slid your fingers across, not enough to affect performance of use. It is also described as not sticky which I find false lint and other things will stick to it. It also has a orange peel effect when the screen is off which is kinda annoying as the phone looks so good "bare". It doesn't scratch like other screen protectors the softness of the material will self heal, it takes some time but it always seems to look new in the end. The side pieces have fallen off since I have installed it about a month and a half of use, I haven't checked to see if it is covered under the replacement as I really don't care its not a big deal, the front and back were all I really cared about.
All in all I find this a very good solution to preventing scratch's on your device I have been pleased with mine and will not remove it or try anything else unless this one starts to "lift" on the edges which the back may do in the future from the case being on the phone it shifts to one side. We will see how things look after 6 months or so.
Awful August 25, 2010 JS Not only is this screen protector superfluously complicated to "install," but it plain doesn't work. Installation requires you to wet your fingers and both sides of the cover with a solution that is honestly probably just water. They tell you to keep your phone off for 12-24 hours after installation - just in case water got into any of the little holes. If you love your new beautiful device, putting this much liquid on it might make you uncomfortable. That said, I don't think any damage was done to my phone by using the liquid solution.
On to the main show - the skin. This skin is not compatible with a case. If you want to use it alone it might work for you, but if you put a case on it, the edges just peel off if the case covers the outer rim of the phone at all. Once one edge comes off the whole thing is ruined pretty much because the skin warps easily and will not re-adhere. Personally, I also did not like the feel of this skin. Its very different from the actual screen itself, almost having a gummy character. Your fingers kind of stick and don't glide over it, and it picks up oils and smudges very easily giving your phone kind of dingy appearance. I wouldn't buy this product again or recommend it to a friend. The company says they have free lifetime replacements, but frankly I don't want one - I'd rather have my money back for the first crappy skin they sent.
Good protection, but causes distortion August 23, 2010 Steven Tagawa (Honolulu, HI United States) On the plus side: The scree protector comes in a very nice kit. If you follow the directions (and the instructions in these reviews) it goes on easily. The water bubbles go away after a day or two. It'll provide solid protection.
On the down side: The beautiful screen on the iPhone 4 gets distorted pretty badly. It looks like vertical irridescent lines going down the screen as you look at it from any slight angle. The protector has a soft rubbery feel to it and you don't have that nice smooth gliding feel when you slide your finger on the screen.
With that being said, I kept the rear protector on but pulled the front protector off after a few weeks. If having an absolute scratch proof screen regardless of the reduced quality of the display is your priority, this is for you. If you love the iPhone 4's retinal screen like I do, then I would not recommend this.
Did not ever fit well without bubbles August 23, 2010 E. Garcia (ORLANDO, FL USA) Although it does what it is intended to do (i.e., protecting the phone's surface), it does so by making the phone really unattractive. I couldn't get the bubbles to ever disappear. When I looked at the phone, even if I could disregard the bubbles, the plastic was very apparently there. And that's not a good thing. The plastic should have never been THAT visible. It was taking a beautiful gadget and making it really fugly. Everyone I showed it to asked why I even bothered putting it on.
